Boston Children’s Hospital COACH Summer Internship Program

The Children’s Hospital COACH Internship summer 2018 application is now available. Applications are due April 6th and interviews will be held April 10th, 12th, and 19th between 3-5PM. Children’s Hospital will contact students to select a date to interview. Program and application details are listed below.

Program Details:
  • 16 years of age as of June 1, 2018
  • All students must be residents of Boston and BPS Students
  • COACH is a 6 week program ( July 9-August 17)
  • 30 hours a week
  • $11 per hour
  • Students will complete weekly workshops every Friday from 9-12pm
Students will hold presentations on August 16th

Application Details:
The application process is a two-step process.
·       -  Students must apply online where they will submit an application and resume

·        - At the bottom of the directions is a link to a survey monkey questionnaire that must also be completed by the student to complete the application process

·       - Once students complete their applications they will be contacted by Children’s in early April to schedule an interview on one of the 3 dates mentions above.

Brigham & Women Summer Internship 

BWH Summer 2018 Details

A.      Program Details

The Youth Summer Program is a 7 week program at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. The program will run from July 3-August 17.  Students will work a flexible schedule (dependent upon their specific department) for 30 hours per week. The pay rate is $11 per hour.  Students must be 16 by 6/1/18.

Students will primarily work at the Brigham’s main hospital in the Longwood area. There are also satellite locations in Jamaica Plain and Egelston.

B.      Application Details

Attached is a link to the application. There is a checklist for students to follow for the application process. Please bring this to your students’ attention.  Students will need to 1) apply online, 2) complete the physical application packet, 3) submit a copy of their most recent report card (SY2017-2018),  4) include a resume , and 5) submit a letter of recommendation from a teacher or other professional. Any students who are accepted, and are under the age of 18 will need to provide a work permit.

Returning students from last summer will need to reapply but will not need to interview if accepted into the program.

STUDENTS MUST APPLY ONLINE AND SUBMIT A COMPLETE APPLICATION PACKET TO THEIR CAREER SPECIALIST BY WEDNESDAY April 4TH.

C.       Interviews
Returning students will not need to interview. Onboarding details will follow directly from BWH.
